Red Mountain in eastern Washington is home to a community of eccentrics. Otis Till, the area's visionary winemaker, has been known to howl at the moon - fully nude. Single mother Margot Pierce moved across the country to build an inn, but so far all she does is binge on gelato, the Hallmark Channel, and fantasies of murdering her ex. High school senior Emilia Forester is the daughter of celebrity parents struggling to build her own life outside of their shadow. And Brooks Baker is a man haunted by his past spent living on the streets as an orphan. Somehow, everyone lives together harmoniously, their lives intertwined like the vines in Red Mountain's beautiful and renowned vineyards. But in a place where everyone knows each other, secrets are like poison...and right now Otis, Margot, Emilia, and Brooks all have something to hide. When their secrets come to light, will their small mountain be stronger for it - or will lives be torn apart? Heartfelt and wonderfully descriptive, Red Mountain is the story of four complicated people living in a beautiful landscape unlike anywhere else. Told from multiple perspectives and rich with vivid descriptions of wine life, this novel will transport you from beginning to end.

Red Mountain (Audible Audio Edition) Boo Walker Armen Taylor Books

I loved this book and was ready to give it a great review. It's about all about the folks who live on Red Mountain. An interesting group and all with a different story. The ending was just awful. Left you hanging. I know there will be another book but to end the story so abruptly was an insult to the people who took their time to read or buy the book. Give it an end and then go on to the next chapter of their lives. Very disappointing.

Red Mountain (Audible Audio Edition) Boo Walker Armen Taylor Books Reviews

I didn't really know what to expect when I started reading this book, well actually I did because of the author's previous work, so I struggled while the characters were introduced. But I also noticed that the Author's writing/editing has improved - more eloquent and descriptive from the scenery, to each character's emotions, to even the German Riesling! Good twists and turns in the story. And the ending - I was ready to rate this 4 stars, until the ending. I gave this another star because of it. Not exactly a cliffhanger, not HEA but not sad either...
So many books to read and not enough time, so if I get 50 pages into a book and feel bored, I don't finish. Such was the case with Red Mountain. Luckily, it was free. Perhaps if the description would have made it clear this was a romance, I wouldn't have even tried to read it.
Seriously, Boo Walker!! I have to know what happens on Red Mountain. As you read this story you become so immersed in the characters and Red Mountain, you almost feel you live there. You love everyone, even though at times you hate them too. So many lives intertwined and all of them are this huge extraordinary family. Miss everyone already, hope there is more to Red Mountain in the future. Thanks for the ride, Boo.
This story held my interest, but I feel there just has to be a sequel. Way too many loose ends. Some of the characters' behavior was so self-destructive I wanted to scream, I kept thinking real people would just not act that way. It had a very soap-opera feel to the story line, so perhaps that is where the implausible reactions fit in. It is worth reading, but don't expect to be satisfied with the ending. I suppose, in a way, that is a positive. I would probably get the sequel (I assume there will be one) just to see if any of them wise up.
I searched already but there is no sequel for this book. I'd like to know what comes next for Brooks, Otis and Joan. I'm the type of reader that an author would have to spoon-feed his own conclusions to.

The story didn't exactly leave me hanging. It seems the serenity of Joan the shaman rubbed me just right that though I have questions left unanswered, I know that everything will be alright.

Red Mountain in Washington state is a small vineyard town and as a novel featured the colorful lives of its residents.

Otis and Brooks are like father and son; Otis saving Brooks from a sorry life on the streets to help him become an excellent winemaker like himself.

Joan is a breath of fresh air to her friends. A shaman who helped people find healing. To Otis, she not only directed him towards healing; she was also his reason to love again.

Margot was broken but was made whole again when she learned to forgive.

There are more in the cast of characters, but you get the picture. Red Mountain is the story of small town neighbors who each have their own struggles, but like the wine they produce, got better with age in dealing with themselves and with each other.
story without an ending ruined it for me
Ugh! I started out not invested in these characters, but as the book went on that changed. I started caring about some of the characters in this book only to be left hanging at the end. Be warned that you are left not knowing what happens to a couple of the main characters at the end. I hate when novels do not explain what happens to their characters at the end and leave you with everything unanswered! There are a bunch of weird sexual affairs between all these characters on Red Mountain and the ending is a huge disappointment! I am not sure why this book received so many good reviews. Huge disappointment!!
